Our Owners, Doctors, Nurses, and Staff live here and know the struggles of dealing with large hospital emergency rooms, especially being so close to the Houston Medical Center. While the Med Center offers world-class facilities, there are simply more patients filling these busy hospitals, making wait times longer, especially when it comes to radiology and labs. We’re bent on changing the patient experience with short wait times and a personalized experience.
Hospital Transfers
If your illness or injury requires further care, we take careful steps to ensure the best care possible. In cases where observation is needed, Rice ER offers a luxurious, private observation suite.
Occasionally a patient needs specialty care, surgical attention, or a longer hospital stay. In these cases, our physicians coordinate with area hospitals to create a seamless, expedited transition. When a transfer is required for further care or monitoring, you will not incur a second emergency room visit. Rice Emergency Room will arrange for you to be admitted directly to a room at the area hospital of your choice, or taken straight to the cath-lab or surgical suite. Whether in our emergency room, observation, or being transferred to another facility, Rice ER will provide truly amazing care every step of the way.
