Rice Emergency Room is a full-service stand alone emergency room with all of the services you would find at a traditional hospital emergency room.

We are a short distance away from all local neighborhoods, including West University, Morningside Place, Southhampton, Southgate, Old Braeswood, Braeswood Place, Sunset Terrace, Montclair, Greenbriar, Knollwood Village and River Oaks.
Occasionally a patient needs specialty care, surgical attention or a longer hospital stay. In these cases, our physicians coordinate with local hospitals to create a seamless, expedited transition.
Anytime a transfer is required for further care or monitoring, you will not incur a charge for a second emergency room visit. Rice Emergency Room will arrange for you to be admitted directly to a room at any hospital of your choice, or be taken straight to the cath-lab or surgical suite.
Whether in our emergency room, observation or being transferred to another facility, Rice ER will provide you with superior care every step of the way.
